Christmas in the City

There's no place more fun at Christmas than NYC.  We took a quick getaway the week of Christmas to show the kids the lights and sights of the city.  Quinn was mesmerized by everything NY had to offer and Carter was mostly excited to find a new Lego.  We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite at our favorite hotel on the the south side of Central Park which was perfect for my morning run.  We dragged the kids up and down the island until they were completely worn out and then headed back home to celebrate Christmas together.  NYC--we'll be back again next year!

Little Folks Christmas Pageant

Our little wise man sang his heart out during his preschool pageant this year.  The kids were not only adorable, but they also helped us all remember the true meaning of Christmas.  I could not be more proud of my little guy and the hard work he put into learning each song and performing in front of a crowd of parents.

After the performance was over, the kids enjoyed playing on the stage and Quinn quickly took over the wise man cape!

Christmas FHE

With daddy home during the week, we took the opportunity to meet him downtown and see the "biggest Christmas tree ever"--according to Carter.  We made the outing our Family Home Evening adventure and topped it off by eating way too much chocolate at the Ghirardelli shop.  The kids were wired from the sugar but loved every second!

Boston Holiday Pops

This year we put on our Christmas best and took the kids to the holiday pops show.  The music was fantastic and Carter especially loved the reading of the Grinch.  Going to the pops has definitely become one of my favorite things to do during the holiday season since moving to Boston and I hope we have the opportunity to go together as a family every year!
