Happy (belated) Father's Day!

We love you, Daddy!

Marathon Training

Two and a half months down, two and a half months to go!  These two kiddos have been troopers riding along in the stroller for an hour plus as I've been getting into some heavier mileage.  Thank goodness for the views on the Charles--they never get old and help the miles pass quickly!

Summer is Here!

and we LOVE the water!

Preschool Graduation

Carter's first 1/2 year at Little Folks was a success!  He thoroughly enjoyed school and couldn't wait to get there each day.  He was less than thrilled about graduation, but he made it through the day.  This year Carter developed a love for painting, singing, and reading reading reading!  He knows about 40 sight words already and can often be found asking me to read him another book.  This past year he also loved bringing his stuffed dog, "Puppy" in for show-and-tell each week and he especially loved celebrating birthdays with his friends. We're so grateful for his amazing teachers who made his experience a positive one!

Congrats, Daddy!

The blog's a bit behind because we've been up to a lot of fun things this summer!  One of the biggest changes in our family took place in June when Chris started his new job at Ernst & Young.  We were so excited for him that we headed down to his new office to have lunch together.  He's got quite the view from the Hancock Tower--unfortunately he'll only spend his Fridays in town to see it.  His first week of work was spent in New York and every week thereafter has been in New Jersey.  Fortunately, NJ feels like a second home because Chris has already spent a few years there!  All in all we have no complaints!  Congrats, Daddy!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

This week was another special one in the Kellett household as we celebrated Baby Quinn's 1st birthday! Carter was a great helper telling Quinn how yummy cake is and showing her how to open presents.  He even insisted on trying out her new toys.  What a great big brother!

We had a sunny day so we bounced in the bouncy house and played outside to celebrate.  Daddy made a great meal and then we had cupcakes!  Quinn enjoyed the sugary treat about as much as she likes vegetables, which is to say, she eats and enjoys just about everything.

At one year old, Quinn has quite the personality.  She loves to be chased and tickled by mommy, she lights up when she hears Carter's voice, and she's got daddy wrapped around her pinky finger.  She's still crawling and hasn't attempted taking any steps yet (thankfully!)  She says, "mama" and "dada" and "hi" while waving to get your attention.  She likes to bite (still working on that one), she loves her veggies, her elephant binky, and going outside for walks.  Most of all she LOVES her big brother.  She's a sweetie pie and we love her dearly!  Happy birthday Quinny!

Marathon Monday

This year's marathon was truly inspiring.  The city of Boston and the surrounding areas came out in full support of the runners and the energy at the course was electric.  As I watched I couldn't help but wish I was running the race too!  The kids loved the sunny day and all the cheering.  Carter even convinced me that he needed a race souvenir to take home.

The marathon represents so well the resilience of the city of Boston that I have come to know and love.  I can't wait for next year as the tradition continues.
