Little Man

First Day of Nursery

Doesn't he looked thrilled? Poor guy was ready for a nap when he got to church.  Let's just say, we are all hoping Carter's enthusiasm for attending nursery improves.

The Great Pumpkin Hunt

We escaped the city to hunt for our pumpkins this year at Wilson Farm.  We found not only some great pumpkins but also a few cider donuts and some delicious soups.  Carter loved the spooky hayride, visiting the farm animals, and hanging out with his good pals, Lydia and Adeline.

 Yummy Cider Donuts!

After the spooky hayride- Carter is clearly spooked!

18 Months

At 18 months, Carter is rambunctious and adventurous!  Each day he cracks us up with his sense of humor and zest for life.
  • Carter loves trains, especially Thomas the Train.  He spends most of his days either playing with his toy Thomas, Percy, and Rosie, or begging to watch a Thomas show.  I'm convinced that Carter came to earth with a love for trains.
  • Carter loves to collect sticks.  We go running each day at the pond and afterward we spend a good half hour or so walking around looking for the best group of sticks.
  • Carter's blankies are his favorite hiding place.  He loves to put them over his head and walk around the house thinking we can't see him.  It's hilarious except for when he runs into walls...
  • Carter has a growing vocabulary.  He still relies heavily on his baby signs for drink, more, tickle, brush teeth, and Thomas, but he's saying more each day.  He loves saying "bye" to everyone we see and he recently said "Grandma".  That made Grandma's day.
  • Carter loves veggies- particularly peas, zucchini, and broccoli.  I'm embarrassed to say he's more enthusiastic for these veggies than I am.  Let's hope he doesn't grow out of this one!
  • Carter says "yes" to just about any question that you ask him.  It's fun to interact with him and feel like he's able to start making some of his own choices.
  • At 18 months, Carter is a whopping 28 pounds.  He's getting close to the 3 ft mark and seems to be going through a growth spurt every month.  His first round of molars has successfully broken through and his canines are just coming in now.  Fun times for our little guy!

Recent Events

We recently celebrated some big events with Ian and Liz! First was Ian's White Coat Ceremony for Tufts Medical School.  He's officially a doctor in training!  We also had the opportunity to attend Baby Ellie's baby blessing which was a special experience for us all.  Congrats guys!
