With two kiddos, Saturday has become just about the only day I can get in a long run.  This past Saturday I took Carter along in the jogger for some extra one-on-one time with him.  On our way home just as we approached the street a few up from ours, I was pretty worn out and I thought to myself, I'm so glad this run is over!  I slowed down to walk up the driveway and immediately my personal trainer (aka Carter) said, "Mommy- no home.  Around the pond!"  I tried to negotiate a shorter loop, but Carter would have none of it.  So around the pond we went.  Fortunately, he gave me constant encouragement through the rest of the run.  His chants of "super speed mommy...super speed!" kept me moving!

Four years have flown by!  Here's to many many more to come!

3 Months

Three months old and couldn't be sweeter.  We love her so!

28 Months

At 28 months old, Carter is quite the chatterbox.  He is a happy happy little boy with an enormous imagination.  He enjoys:

• His collection of Toy Story characters--particularly Buzz & Woody.
• Counting everything.  He can make it up to about 15 without any help.
• Playing in the backyard on the swing set.  He hangs well from the trapeze bar but is still working on the rock climbing wall.
• Books!  He loves to be read to.  Curious George, the Llama Llama series, and Cars books are among his current favorites.
• Chocolate milk, ketchup, and ice cream.  He would live solely on these three items if I let him.
• Playing with Quinn.  He refers to her as "my sissy" and gets very protective of her if anyone outside of family members tries to hold her.
• Singing songs and being sung to at night.
• Going to nursery.  We can hardly keep him in the chapel for Sacrament Meeting because he can't wait to go!
• Jigsaw puzzles.  He can put together a puzzle faster than I can!

We love our little guy so much!  He's the best big brother and such a treat to be around.

Quinn's Blessing

We blessed Quinn this past Sunday in our Belmont Ward.  It was a special day with family and many of our close friends.  Thank you to everyone who made a special effort to be there and support our sweet little Quinn.
