Accomplishments

We are so blessed to have Carter and Quinn in our family.  Chris and I were very proud of our little guy today who said his very first prayer (with a little help from daddy.)  Quinn is making her own progress as well.  This week she started rolling over from her tummy to her back!  It's crazy how quickly the time goes.

Trying out mommy's prescriptionless glasses.  He'll do anything to stall before bedtime!

Holding her big head up so well! All that tummy time is paying off!

Our Favorite Place...

is Rockport!  We made a quick trip up to the beach to take advantage of the great weather.  Chris enjoyed the lobster, Carter loved the water, Quinn slept for most of the trip, and I had fun shopping.

Carter shared his yogurt raisins with the friendly bears outside the lobster shack.

Quinn wasn't too fond of the bright sun, but she was a happy girl all day.

A quick dip with daddy!

Buddies

These cousins can't get enough of each other!  We love that Ellie lives so close by.  This weekend we celebrated E's first birthday and Carter was thrilled to teach her all about presents!  Happy 1st Birthday Ellie!

Nap time?

Daddy and Carter went on a special trip to Home Depot where daddy picked out a Lightning McQueen head lamp for Carter.  Carter wasn't sure what to think of it at first, but once he realized what it could do in the dark, he insisted on wearing it during nap time.  After I put him down, I went in to his room to see if he was asleep and to turn off the head lamp, and I found Carter organizing his car collection (that he also sleeps with on occasion.)  It was too cute-- instead of telling him to go to sleep, I made him pose for the camera!

Happy 4th!

We are so blessed to live in this country and we are especially thankful to live in Boston where we are reminded often of the sacrifices that were made for our freedom.  The 4th is always a favorite holiday of mine and we celebrated this year by swimming and grilling with friends.  Quinn was quite the trooper and was pleasant as can be despite the 90 degree plus temps and miserable humidity.  Carter was thrilled about swimming and eating hot dogs!  Everyone was worn out by dinner so we put the kiddos to bed and stayed in to watch the firework broadcast.  It was a successful day and lots of fun!!!
