Beach Time
Nahant Beach, MA
We've been escaping to the beach on Friday afternoons to soak up as much summer as we can. Carter loves the waves and would spend all his time in the water if I let him. Quinn is mostly interested in chasing after the birds, but she's a happy camper in the water and in the sand too. Mostly we just love being outside in the sun! If only summer could last forever!
Another reason the beach is great--the kids always come home exhausted and ready for bed!

15 Months
Little Quinns is growing up so fast these days, it's hard to keep up with her! At fifteen months, she is our sassy, courageous, fun loving, little lady. She is walking and talking and trying her best to keep up with her big brother. She has 12ish teeth (molars are in process of breaking through), she loves to be outside and she. is. a. climber. She climbs the slide, the table, chairs, and my leg. She LOVES books and the only thing she loves more is water. Just like Carter, she's a little fish and has no problem playing in the waves at the beach, splashing in the water table, or blowing bubbles in the bath. She understands everything you say and she regularly says about 10 words including her newest--Grandma! She's still a great eater and never complains about what she's offered. She loves her dada and walks around the house pointing to pictures of him yelling, "Dada, Dada!" She is quite the charmer and is such a fun little toddler. We love her!

Swim Season
We're raising little fish around here and I couldn't be happier about it. Carter finished up a month of swim lessons and loved every minute.
The picture above was taken right after he finished his last class. I was trying to get him to smile at me but he was so bummed swim lessons were over, he wouldn't even look at me. He just kept saying, "But, I want to swim!" Luckily, summer is still here and we can go swim everyday!
Carter has definitely mastered the jump into the pool move. The rest of his classmates were a little timid, only jumping when the instructor's arms were nearby, but Carter always chose to fly in unassisted (sometimes head first!) Fortunately, he's also learned to swim back to the wall so he's making progress on that front as well. It's amazing how much he loves the water and how much he has learned already!
