Easter

Carter experienced his very first Easter egg hunt this year.  Although he was more interested in climbing through the bushes and looking at the cars in the parking lot, we eventually did get him into hunting mode long enough for him to collect a few eggs that were on the ground.  Once Carter found out there were treats inside though, we haven't stopped hearing about the eggs.  Now each morning since the hunt, we wake up to Carter asking, "Mommy, Daddy, chocolate egg?"

Chris and I also learned an important lesson at our child's first Easter egg hunt.  Apparently plastic grocery bags are not considered acceptable receptacles for your child's retrieved treasures.  When we noticed Carter was the only child without a brightly colored basket, we felt a little guilty.  Next year, watch out- Carter will surely have the best Easter basket money can buy.

All in all, Easter was a success.  I was able to participate in our church service by giving a talk and Chris prepared a wonderful meal for family and friends.  We have enjoyed reflecting on what the Easter holiday represents and we are looking forward to spring!
